What Are Virtual State Pageants?
US American Miss is bringing Virtual State Pageants to every single state. Compete from the comfort of your home by submitting videos and photos — no travel required.
Practice for Nationals
The Virtual State Pageant gives every contestant a trial run for the content submissions required at Nationals — so the process is simplified and easier when the big stage arrives.
Earn a Local Title Immediately
When you register, you receive a local title you can start representing right away — ride in parades, make appearances, and build your platform before state titles are even awarded.
Sash & Crown Included
Every Virtual State Pageant competitor receives an official sash and round crown with their local title — yours to keep and represent with pride.
Required Categories
Every contestant must complete both of these categories.
Interview
Submit a head and shoulders vertical video of yourself answering 5 questions. These vertical videos serve as your Interview Competition.

Evening Gown
For Evening Gown, the choice is yours:
- ✓Submit a video of you modeling a floor-length evening gown (slits allowed)
- ✓Submit up to 5 photos of you in the same floor-length dress
- ✓Submit both video and photos
Spotlight Categories
Choose at least 2 of 6 categories — pick the ones where you shine brightest. Only your top scores count.
Casual Wear
Show us what you look like every day in something you're wearing that is NOT customized or couture.
Upload up to 4 photos OR send links to public posts on social media.
Fitness
Submit four videos of what you do to stay physically fit.
What you're wearing will NOT have any bearing — attire depends on the activity.
Fun Fashion
Show us a video of you modeling Fun Fashion attire. Capes are encouraged!
One video, up to 2 minutes long (60 seconds preferred). Cape-ography encouraged!
Spokesmodel
A video of you speaking for up to 90 seconds about what makes you "Too Bold for the Mold."
You MUST use the phrase "Too Bold for the Mold" somewhere in your speech.
State Costume
Show us something you LOVE about your state with a costume that represents it.
Submit a video, up to 5 photos, or both — the choice is yours!
Talent
Upload a video of your talent OR send a link to a public post on social media.
It does NOT have to be a video of you performing on a stage.

Deadlines & Announcement Schedule
Each state has a submission deadline one month before the announcement date. Winners are announced on social media. Based on availability, some winners will be surprised Publishers Clearinghouse Style — crowned in person by reigning National Queens, neighboring state titleholders, or Nationals staff!
